NORMANNO & CHORISTERS - We are holding auditions for Normanno, men’s chorus, and women’s chorus in Lucia di Lammermoor. Performances will be May 7 at 7PM; May 11, 12, 18, and 19 at 3PM; and May 18 at 7PM. Three casts will sing five performances with orchestra and one with piano. Rehearsals are most Tuesday evenings and Saturday afternoons starting mid-March. Principals: Regina Opera auditions, which are held as needed throughout the season, are by invitation only. Send us your resume and photo, and we’ll contact you if a suitable role is available. There is no audition fee. We provide the accompanist, although you may of course bring your own if you prefer. If you are chosen for a role, you MUST be available for rehearsals Tuesday evenings and Saturday afternoons, as well as for all performance dates.
Unfortunately, we are not in a position to pay our singers. But we provide valuable experience in standard repertoire and exposure to a wide audience (each soloist gets two performances per production) in fully-staged productions with a 35- to 40-piece orchestra.
